Girls soccer (8-12-5) made it to CIF Feb. 9 after not making it for seven consecutive years. The Indians beat Sonora(10-12-1) with a (2-0) lead.
Senior Bryanna Aviña said she felt the season went well. “ We accomplished a lot that we weren’t able to do in past years.¨
The girl’s first round of the competition against Segerstrom (9-10-12) on Tuesday. The ladies won (3-0) against the Jaguars with goals from sophomore Emily Monson, junior Jacine Valdez, and senior Bryanna Avina.
They advance to quarterfinals today. They will travel to Laguna Hills (6-13-3) and play at 5 today. Senior Elizabeth Coleman said, ¨The season was worth it knowing that hard work pays off and team unity is definitely important to push us further in this battle.”
