Matthew Flynn

Matthew Flynn felt surprised when he found out he was nominated for Mr. Fullerton. “I didn’t really advocate to be picked. So I was like, ‘that’s interesting.’”

Although he didn’t expect the nomination, Flynn has made the best of his experience. Fellow nominee, Josiah Haugen senior, said, “He just goes all out and gives 110%. He’s jumping around, he’s dancing, and he has so much energy all the time. He makes all of us laugh when we sit down and just get to watch him dance.”

Flynn described his relationship with the other nominees. “Some of them I know, some of them I’m friends with, some of them I don’t know and I’m getting kind of chummy with them,” Flynn said. 

Even though not all of the Mr. Fullerton boys know one another very well, they still manage to have fun at practice. One instant stuck out to Flynn as particularly funny. “We were doing this thing where we carry one kid and we dropped Arthur. He just fell down like ‘BAM’,” Flynn said.

In his free time, Flynn enjoys music, Legos, watching anime, and playing Overwatch. In addition, Flynn also bikes frequently. “I bike to Yorba Linda and just around all the cities,” Flynn said.

Flynn is excited to see everyone showcase their talents, and to the students that nominated him, Flynn said, “Thank you. I’ll make you proud.”
