Wrestling League Finals was held Feb. 9 at Sonora High School. All Freeway League schools met for the tournament to fight for a qualifying spot at CIF.

Three Fullerton wrestlers placed and qualified for CIF individually: Junior Dylan Scarberry, junior Isaul Castaneda, and senior Tyler Mollenkramer.

Tyler Mollenkramer felt pride in representing FUHS.

“Being one of the few people at school qualifying for CIF was completely honorable,” said Mollenkramer. “I’m extremely proud of not only myself, but my fellow teammates who qualified.”

Mollenkramer won his first match in CIF and was given the opportunity to excel into the second round. “I was content with winning my first match, but I am still looking for more wins,” Mollenkramer said.

Unfortunately, Mollenkramer did not move on to the next round. Despite this, he was still proud of his overall performance.

“I am kind of disappointed that I could not go any further, but I am very proud with myself and my overall season.”
