Being a full IB student sounds extremely stressful to most students, but Michael Lee has found it to be more enjoyable than exasperating.

It was pretty fun and I don’t regret anything of it,” Lee said.

A very important part of the IB program is finding a study schedule that works for you; while Lee admits he procrastinates quite a bit, he finds a way to get everything done on time while maintaining good grades.

Outside school, a big part of Michael’s life revolves around volunteering.

“I volunteered at an orphanage/preschool in Indonesia last summer,” said Lee. “It was pretty nice teaching the kids English and duck-duck-goose. I got to experience a totally different culture, meet new people, and finish my IB community service hours all at once.”

Michael highly recommends the IB route and stresses how fun it is.

“My one piece of advice to anyone that wanted to do the full IB program is, just do it. It’s not as hard as you think it is and the IB classes you take are actually really fun,” Lee said.

Lee currently doesn’t know what he wants to do career-wise, so he has decided to enter into University of California, Irvine undeclared. He plans on trying new things and looking for something he can really get ambitious about.
