Kate Petrusse

Kate Petrusse’s countless lessons through her involvement with Equestrian sports has made her into the strong women she is today.

Petrusse is an “all-around” athlete and a World Champion Equestrian who has had a journey full of ups and downs throughout her whole high school experience; however, she has overcome those struggles, winning league for FUHS the past four years in a row.

Petrusse knew being an Equestrian is what she wanted to be from the start. “I never had a role model or someone in my family to look up to when it comes to my sport. It’s a passion I’ve had since I was a baby; I cried for a horse when I was little so I started taking lessons and it took off from there ever since,” Petrusse said.

Petrusse will continue her equestrian career as a Division I athlete at Baylor University, while majoring in business and minoring in psychology.

Petrusse looks forward to what her future brings her, as she plans to work with Doctors Without Borders for two years and then hopes to start several businesses afterwards.
