Fullerton Football plays tonight at 7 p.m. against El Modena at home.

The boys are going into tonight’s game with a record of 2-1.

They started off the season with a win against Santa Fe High School 24-19 and the following week a loss against Whittier 21-0 at home and a win against Golden Valley 33-27 on the road.  

Junior wide receiver Jakob Garcia feels good about the dynamic with new coaches.

“They are great coaches, we all get along and they are really pushing us to be the best. They want us to work at 100% all the time, They believe in us and that’s all you can really ask for in a coach.” Garcia said.

Although they haven’t won a game on their turf this season, they look forward to turning that around tonight.

Senior captain and quarterback Gavin Klepper believes the team has worked hard on and off the field this year.

“This year is our year, we have worked so hard to get to this point and we aren’t going to let anyone take that away from us,” Klepper said.

The boys hope to have a successful run and league and finish off preseason strong.

“All of the hours we spend practicing and getting better are going to benefit us this season, I look forward to league and seeing what we can get done this year.”

Junior Captain and Wide receiver Jeremiah Smith shares his opinion about the meaning of brotherhood and how it plays out on the field.

“All of us being so close really helps with team dynamic, We are brothers on and off the field and no matter what we have eachothers backs,” Smith said. “We not just for ourselves but for each other and I wouldn’t wanna be ballin out on this field with anybody else.”

It being Military night tonight really brings a new meaning to brotherhood has a deeper meaning.
