The FUHS boys basketball team earned their first league win against Buena Park on Fri. Jan. 11. The Indians (10-12) stomped the (3-18) Coyotes with a score of 70-43.

Senior Sage Guillen dropped 11 three-pointers, finishing with a team-leading 33 points.

“I was very humble as I was shooting,” Guillen said. “God had me in his favor and there will be more to come.”

Senior Will Hollon also had a good game, scoring 18 points and 8 assists.

“This win was really important as it was our first of the year and it was a much needed win, especially after everything that happened with the gym,” Hollon said.

As it is Hollon’s senior year, he hopes to beat Troy in his next game.

“Troy is a very good team,” Hollon said. “We just have to play with the same intensity and desire to win.”

Come out and support the boys tomorrow night when they are face Troy at 7:30 pm at Fullerton College’s Gym across the street!
