Kody Orozco

Kody Orozco felt surprised when he found out he was nominated for Mr. Fullerton. “I did not think I was going to make the cut at all. I didn’t expect people to want to see [me],” Orozco said.

Despite his unexpected nomination, Orozco found that the dances and choreography came easily to him. “I have to say it’s pretty easy, but nobody has ever seen me do it. I don’t know how easy it’s going to be in front of people,” he said.

Being in the spotlight is not a place that Orozco feels comfortable. “Having everyone watch me is not ideal. It’s just not me at all,” he explained.

Because of this, Orozco considers Josiah Haugen to be his biggest competition. “We are literally on his home field,” he said. However, Orozco also considers his friend, James Magee, senior, a competitor because, “you never know what to expect from him.”

In his free time, Orozco likes to draw, resell valuable clothing items, and play basketball with his friends.

Referring to his talent, Orozco joked, “if you’re sitting in the first four to five rows, bring your poncho because you’re in the splash zone.”
