Camille Salud
Camille Salud thrives at FUHS, prioritizing family, friends and happiness over the stresses of rigorous course loads.
After being involved in band, volleyball, track and field, yearbook, journalism and numerous other clubs, Salud realized her true source of joy was not found in time-consuming extracurriculars, but rather in the people and beliefs that ground her identity.
“I didn’t feel happy or satisfied being there,” Salud said. “I didn’t find any value in being involved in the things I was involved with.”
Salud assuredly quit all of these activities except for Jesus Club, otherwise known as Christian Club, which she has been a member of for the past four years.
“When I was a freshman, I didn’t like [Christian Club],” Salud said. “I thought it was lame, but I stuck with it.”
Salud served as the club’s secretary sophomore year and has been president for the past two years.
“I’ve seen the club grow and really become an outstanding club on campus,” Salud said.
Under Salud’s leadership, not only has membership tripled, but the club regularly serves free donuts and pizza to the student body, and have handed out cookies to teachers, promoting love and positivity on campus.
Along with these successes, Salud has been in the Rotary Top 100 all four years, is nearly a straight-A student, and experiments with many art forms.
“I really love doing photography. I sometimes do weddings, senior photoshoots, and also just take photos in my free time with friends,” Salud said. “I also like to do graphic design and I design cards and graphics for my church.”
Salud will attend Fullerton College to pursue nursing. With goals to empower and inspire future generations, Salud continues to promote the importance of love and passionate sincerity in all that she does.
