Michael Laverde
Michael Laverde is not the same person he was when he walked onto this campus four years ago, and FUHS has played a huge part in shaping him into the person he is today.
Laverde’s theater career all started when he went to watch his best friend in junior high perform in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and he decided to join.
“And, I haven’t stopped since and now I am going to college for it,” said Laverde.
Laverde is Triple Threat Candidate at Fullerton and he has been taking theater classes all four years. However, his dedication to these programs is not limited to just taking classes.
“On top of the classes, I have been involved in every single production here in every shape and form,” said Laverde.
Theater has shaped Laverde to be confident in who he is and what he does. He is comfortable with using his voice, whether he is speaking publicly or meeting new people.
“I think the program has really pushed me out of my comfort zone. Especially when it comes to areas of public speaking and leadership skills and being confident in what I am doing,” said Laverde
Laverde will continue to chase his dreams at University of Arizona while majoring in Musical Theater. After college, his ultimate goal is to be a part of a creative team for an original musical movie and to emanate Gene Kelly.
