FUHS to host 2016 Rotary End Polio Now Jog-a-Thon
FUHS will host the fourth annual Fullerton Rotary End Polio Now Jog-a-Thon on Oct. 22.
75% of all Jog-A-Thon funds raised by each high school student will go to his or her represented high school club like National Honors Society (NHS).
Participants can jog or walk on the track as well as enjoy the food. Friends and family members can sponsor a runner by donating money for each documented lap.
Additional donations go directly to End Polio Now, an organization dedicated to eradicating polio in third-world countries.
The Rotary Club of Fullerton, a member of Rotary International, has been active for 75 years. Rotary clubs associated with End Polio Now work to purchase and deliver polio vaccines to populations in countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Philippines.
Fullerton-based middle schools, high schools and college clubs are invited to attend the Jog-a-Thon to support the end to polio. The event will be held in the FUHS stadium. Gates open at 8:45 a.m. and close at 12 p.m.
