The Night Gallery

On Wed. Oct. 24 the Academy of the Arts presented the Night Gallery in the new Gallery 201. The Night Gallery provides a place for FUHS to feature their own creepy and supernatural creations for all to see.

Senior Margeaux Lau’s photo “Tori gets the Tower” is displayed in the Gallery.

“I took it of my friend Tori and there are tarot cards spread around the bed,” Lau said. “We had decided to shoot and with my tarot cards were out, I thought ‘oh that looks cool’ so I just got all my lights set up and them shot it.”

Lau is no stranger to photography, as she is currently taking AP Photography, IB Art and is the Photography Editor for yearbook.

Junior Vanessa Martinez’s painting, “The Outsider”, is also showcased in the Night Gallery. Her painting is based off the short story “The Outsider” by H. B. Lovecraft which features a man who rises out of his grave in the catacombs and goes into town unaware that he looks like a zombie.

“I don’t know how to describe it, you have to see it, it’s easier that way. I just can’t describe it,” Martinez said.

The opening night for the Night Gallery was Oct. 24, so check out the Night Gallery anytime during school hours.
