Now playing in theaters, Aquaman follows up the events of 2017’s Justice League. It focuses on Arthur Curry’s quest to find the trident of Atlan, and prove to the kingdoms of Atlantis that he is the one true king.

The film features an all-starring cast of Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as King Orm/Ocean Master, and Yahya Abdul Manteen II as Black Manta.

Due to the film primarily being focused underwater, it is full of beautiful visual effects. Animation is used to create visually stunning renditions of underwater creatures, and it is done in supreme detail. The character’s hair is also animated realistically.

Aquaman is a visually stunning, funny, and lighthearted departure from the traditionally dark DC movies and a welcomed follow up to previous films.
