The Netflix original film Bird Box has gained a massive amount of popularity since its release date, December 13, 2018.

The movie features a star-studded cast, with faces including Sandra Bullock as Malorie Hayes (the protagonist of the film), Trevante Rhodes as Tom, Sarah Paulson as Jessica Hayes,  and John Malkovich as Douglas.

In the film, the characters are threatened by a mysterious invisible creature that causes humans to commit immediate suicide.

The movie requires characters to wear blindfolds so they don’t look at the strange creature’s causing them to take their own lives.

According to Netflix, around 40 million people have watched Bird Box. The movie has blown up all over social media and even has people participating in the “Bird Box Challenge,” where people try living with a blindfold on, just like the characters in the movie.

Netflix later released a statement recommending that people should not try the “Bird Box Challenge,” as it could cause harm.

The film is filled with suspense. You’ll find yourself at the edge of your seats throughout the entire film. Bird Box is out now on Netflix.
