Sharon Lynn inducted into FUHS Wall of Fame

Class of 1920 graduate La Verne Lindsay “Sharon Lynn” was inducted onto to the FUHS Wall of Fame on Sept. 16, 2016 for her participation in the performing arts and in dramatics class productions.

After graduating Lynn became one of the few actresses successfully transition from silent films to talkies. She reached the height of her acting career fame in the 1930s starring in a number of musicals and comedies.

Lynn starred in 38 motion pictures from 1924 to 1938 and her first credited acting debut was in the six-reeler Curlytop (1924). One of her best known roles was in Laurel and Hardy’s Way Out West (1937).

Lynn married producer and director Benjamin (Barney) Glazer, a two-time Academy Award winner and founding member of the Motion Picture Academy.

Lynn passed away at the age of 62 to multiple sclerosis.
