Girls tennis continues strong
This fall season, the FUHS girls varsity team has competed in six League meets against other schools in our district. Their current league standing is 4-2 and their overall standing is 5-7.
Players are looking forward to the remainder of their season and to see their overall standing in the district at the end of the 2018 season.
Senior Sofia Aguirre is pleased with the season so far, and hopes to accomplish all her goals by the end of her final season.
“I feel like this season has been going very well. I’ve been enjoying it since it’s my last year playing at FUHS,” Aguirre said. “My goal is to finish in the top 5 of the entire league.”
Senior Avani Kothari recently started playing doubles this year and has been enjoying it so far.
“It has been so much more fun than playing singles, I’m kinda sad that season is ending since it’s my last season playing tennis,” Kothari said.
The team has four more games left in their season. Their next home game is October 17 against Troy High School.
Best of luck to the girls in the remainder of their season!
