Boy’s basketball victorious at their season opener

Yesterday marked the beginning of the boy’s basketball season. On Nov. 13, the Indians faced Saddleback High School in their first preseason game.

Senior captains Will Hollon and Stone Sinek looked forward to leading the team to their first victory, and succeeded in doing so, as the Indians (1-0) defeated the Roadrunners (0-1) by 40 points, 73-33. Sinek and Hollon were two of the top three scorers of the game.

Sinek and Hollon were also two of the top three scorers of the game; Sinek scored 27, and Hollon scored 11, with 6 assists.

The team also began this season with five returners on varsity, and a big portion of last years JV team going into Varsity.

“[Our new teammates] have a lot to learn, but they have also come a long way in a short period of time,” Hollon said.

Good luck to our boys basketball team as they continue on with their season!
