Students still have time to purchase tickets for the “Postcards from Paris” themed prom April 25 hosted at Hangar 21 in Fullerton at 7 p.m.
As of mid-April, ticket prices have increased as the event approaches. Tickets are currently $130 with IFL and $135 without, with the final sales window running through April 22. The last day to purchase tickets is April 23, when tickets will be $150.
For senior Kayla McVicar, determining which dress she would wear for her final prom was her main challenge.

“I was originally going to wear the dress that I was going to wear for last year’s prom, which didn’t come in time,” McVicar said. “But, I was out thrifting with my friend, and I found a $10 prom dress.”
The prom theme, revealed on March 27, brought everything together. As students gathered in the breezeway, McVicar finally felt confident in her choice. When she
heard the theme, “Postcards from Paris”, her decision became clear.
“When I found out the theme, I was like, okay, now I know which dress I’m going to pick,” said McVicar.
As she gets ready for the big night, McVicar is focusing on the small details that will complete her look. She plans to do her own hair and makeup and is looking forward to adding small details, like getting her nails done to match her dress, to complete her overall look.
For senior Michael Parra, preparation looks a little different–he’s focused on making a memorable entrance.
“I’m going to pull up in a classic car, ” Parra said. “It’s a black 1959 Chevy Impala with a chrome finish, so I think it’ll look really clean.”

For Parra, the arrival is part of the experience, helping set the tone for the night before it even begins. Like many students, he also plans to take photos beforehand, adding to the anticipation of the evening.
Now that the theme has been revealed, Parra has started planning his outfit to match the aesthetic of the night.
“Once I knew what the theme was, I knew for sure I’m going to get black and gray colors,” Parra said.
As prom night approaches, students are making sure every detail counts. Whether it’s finding the perfect dress, coordinating outfits, or arriving in style, seniors are ready to celebrate one of their final high school memories.
