The Class of 2026 will be the final group of “Indians” to graduate from Fullerton Union High School before the school officially adopts its new Red Hawks mascot over the summer. The graduation ceremony will be hosted in the Fullerton stadium May 27 at 7 p.m.
Seniors are required to attend graduation rehearsal in the stadium on May 26 at 8 a.m. in order to get familiar with graduation procedures. It is recommended that students park in the Fullerton College parking structure located on Lemon Street. Arrive early to avoid traffic congestion. Seniors will also receive their guest tickets (each student will receive 10) at the conclusion of the rehearsal.
Seniors must arrive at 5:30 p.m. on the day of graduation at the front of the gymnasium. Failure to arrive on time will result in an absence from the ceremony in its entirety. Students will also be required to check prohibited items, including cell phones, cameras, purses, food, drinks, gum, party items such as noise-makers and confetti, and other miscellaneous items as they enter the stadium.
Seniors may only wear approved tassels, honor stoles, and medallions. Non-school issued accessories, inappropriate caps and gowns, and inappropriate footwear (bare feet) will not be permitted. FUHS administration recommends that students wear non-platform shoes, to decrease risk of injury and falling, as well as to bring their intended shoewear to the graduation rehearsal for practice. For students who wish to wear high heels, it is especially encouraged to wear them for rehearsal.
At the ceremony, valedictorians Kaden Lee and Brandon Fan and salutatorians Madeline Capp and Sam Esterson will be speaking. ASB president Shanelle Thompson, vice president Audrina Gomez, and senior class president Elysee Hua will also be speaking on behalf of the graduating class of 2026.
