The team (0-3), started their league season on Jan. 9 at Sonora (3-0). After a hard-fought game, the Lady Indians lost to the Raiders (75-12).

Sophomore Madeline Yang reflects positively on the game against the Raiders.

“[The team] was successful a couple times in breaking the Raider’s press defense [during the game],” Yang said.

Looking to come back from defeat, the Lady Indians have practiced hard all week, focusing on what they need to work on.

“We need to work on taking care of the ball, and not panicking when we see people running up at us,” Yang said. “If we stay calm we will be able to focus in and play offense.”

Junior Hallie Coleman looks forward to making a comeback and showing their true potential in the next game.

“We are going to bounce back by putting the game out of our minds and just focusing on the next game,” Coleman said.

Senior Kate Thompson is excited for the game.  “We just need to do our best,” Thompson said. “Even if we are tired just keep going.”

Come out to see our girls play against La Habra Highlanders (0-4) Tuesday, January 23rd at Fullerton at 6:00PM.
