A new handicap-accessible box office for selling tickets will face Lemon Street.

Currently audience members must climb steps to reach the box office and lobby that faces Chapman Avenue. Construction crews will build a handicap-accessible entrance facing Lemon Street.

This year’s retrofitting will not affect the 75-foot long, 15-foot high mural entitled Pastoral California painted on the west side of the building. The mural, painted in 1934, is a true fresco and considered a local landmark.

Terry Galvin from Fullerton Heritage wants to make sure that the Fullerton Auditorium retains its architecture, including the Spanish Colonial Revival and Italian Renaissance design elements as well as its Neo-classical motifs.
